Paul B. Simon founded Simon Lawyer, LLC after a long and distinguished career at the Gordon Arata law firm, where he learned oil & gas law from Bob Duplantis and commercial practice from Samuel E. Masur, Louis Phillips, and other. Paul continues to serve the oil & gas industry and commercial clients in Acadiana and throughout Louisiana.

Prior to entering private practice, Paul clerked for two federal judges:
Hon. D. "Dee" Drell, Chief Judge of the Western District of Louisiana, and
Hon. W. Eugene Davis, United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Legal Education
Columbia Law School -- Paul did his law studies at the law school of Columbia University where he was a James Kent Scholar (top 3% of class).
Paul served as an editor of the American Review of International Arbitration. He was Co-President of the Columbia International Arbitration Association and Columbia Society of International Law.
Before law school
Growing up
Paul grew up a duck hunter and all-district basketball player. He graduated from the Episcopal School of Acadiana in 2000.
International Experience
After high school Paul studied continental philosophy at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium in the Open Jaar program.
Paul lived in Europe 4 of 7 years and visited annually for a decade. He became conversant in four languages and developed a deep wealth of knowledge and contacts in European business.
McKinsey & Company
Before law school Paul worked for McKinsey & Company, serving clients as a management consultant in the firm's Amsterdam office.
Williams College + Oxford University
Williams College -- Paul matriculated at Williams College for his undergraduate studies. He was a junior year selection to Phi Beta Kappa (top 5% of class) and studied philosophy and economics at Oxford University, Exeter College
Paul graduated with honors in Political Science as the Sentinel of the Republic.
